About the Role
You will be the first AI engineer, responsible for designing and implementing machine learning systems, guiding technical direction, and turning research into production-grade features.
Responsibilities
- Define the AI architecture for scalable financial applications
- Develop and train machine learning models for real-time decisioning
- Lead the integration of AI components into product workflows
- Mentor engineers growing into AI-focused roles
- Collaborate with product and data teams to identify high-impact use cases
- Prototype new AI capabilities from concept to validation
- Ensure models meet performance, accuracy, and compliance standards
- Optimize inference pipelines for low latency and cost efficiency
- Evaluate and adopt emerging AI frameworks and tools
- Own model monitoring, retraining, and lifecycle management
- Translate business requirements into technical AI specifications
- Establish best practices for data labeling and feature engineering
- Drive ethical AI principles in model design and deployment
- Present technical progress to executive stakeholders
- Contribute to recruiting and onboarding future AI team members
- Maintain documentation for models and training processes
- Troubleshoot production issues related to AI systems
- Work closely with backend engineers to design APIs for AI services
- Implement A/B testing frameworks for model performance comparison
- Ensure reproducibility and versioning across experiments
Nice to Have
- PhD in machine learning, computer science, or related discipline
