Role Overview
As the Foundry Technical Manager, you will lead technical coordination between external foundries and internal engineering teams to ensure successful product and technology transitions. Your work will center on enabling reliable, high-performance manufacturing through disciplined execution of new product introductions, process change management, and yield optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical engagement with foundry partners during technology ramp-up and product transfer phases.
- Coordinate and facilitate regular technical review meetings, including Quarterly Technical Reviews and feedback for business-level assessments.
- Manage production release exceptions, process change notifications (PCNs), and equipment modifications in alignment with quality standards.
- Collaborate with yield and quality teams to ensure robust product qualification and safe launch into manufacturing.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for process excursions, aiming to prevent recurrence and detect deviations early.
- Act as the primary technical liaison during quality audits at foundry sites.
- Work closely with supply chain and design teams to ensure customer requirements are met without disruption from manufacturing issues.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality, cost, and cycle time metrics.
Required Expertise
- Proven experience in end-to-end semiconductor fabrication processes, particularly in split gate MOSFET technologies.
- Detailed understanding of process modules and how design choices interact with manufacturing parameters.
- Hands-on track record in qualifying new technologies and achieving benchmark-level process performance.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams across design, yield, reliability, and supply chain.
- Commitment to zero-defect manufacturing and proactive risk mitigation.
- Proficiency in change control systems, waiver tracking, yield management, and NPI execution.
