Join a forward-thinking initiative seeking experienced Data Science Engineers to craft complex, realistic computational challenges. This freelance role focuses on developing rigorous, end-to-end problems that mirror actual data science workflows in sectors including telecom, government, and healthcare.
What You’ll Do
- Design original, computationally demanding data science tasks that simulate real industry workflows
- Build problems requiring advanced Python techniques with libraries such as Pandas, Scikit-learn, and Statsmodels
- Ensure all solutions are deterministic and reproducible, using fixed seeds where necessary
- Structure challenges around practical business needs like fraud detection, customer analytics, and operational forecasting
- Develop full-cycle problems spanning data ingestion, cleaning, exploratory analysis, modeling, and deployment considerations
- Incorporate scalable data processing patterns to reflect big data environments
- Validate correct answers using standard statistical methods and Python tooling
- Write clear, context-rich problem statements with realistic business framing
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum of 5 years of applied data science experience with measurable business outcomes
- Demonstrated proficiency in Python for data analysis and modeling (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, etc.)
- Strong command of SQL for complex data extraction and transformation
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and their real-world applications
- Excellent written English skills (C1 level or higher)
- Proven track record through a portfolio of delivered projects or publications
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with generative AI systems, including LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and vector databases
- Experience with MLOps practices and model deployment pipelines
- Working knowledge of modern frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or LangChain
Work & Compensation
This is a project-based role with flexible scheduling. Active phases typically involve 10–20 hours per week, though workload varies by project. Pay is project-dependent, with an average rate equivalent to $58 per hour. You’ll engage with AI-driven initiatives and collaborate on challenges used by leading technology organizations.
