DEPT® was looking for a Group Director, Client Parter - US Remote (PST, CST)

At DEPT®, we are looking for a Group Director, Client Partner to lead the creative work we deliver for a suite of clients. You will be an expert in understanding your clients' business, using established senior relationships to drive innovation and strategy. You’ll represent DEPT® to clients, adding value through a mix of account management and strategic planning.

What You'll Do

  • Work in partnership with senior clients to develop annual strategies.
  • Hold recurring meetings with senior client leadership to discuss business goals, industry trends, and new growth opportunities.
  • Ensure client satisfaction by regularly communicating with senior decision-makers.
  • Be responsible for high client retention and growth.
  • Act as a point of escalation on accounts and effectively solve issues that arise.
  • Lead new business pitches and proposals alongside leadership and the growth team.
  • Forecast, reconcile, and monitor client revenue and profitability.
  • Estimate, manage, monitor, and reconcile client out-of-pocket funds.
  • Manage scope, including tracking, managing, and escalating pacing issues.
  • Manage client portfolio revenue and update internal financial systems accurately.
  • Productize our services within proposals and statements of work (SOWs).
  • Author written SOWs, amendments, and other legal adjustments with the contracts team.
  • Lead contract negotiations and oversee the implementation of commercial agreements.
  • Proactively pursue cross-sell and upsell opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Ensure teams operate effectively and efficiently towards client goals while meeting financial targets.
  • Work with all craft teams to drive strategies and work that elevates clients' businesses.
  • Lead, line-manage, motivate, and inspire a team.
  • Craft strategic responses to briefs and develop a POV on media, creative content, tech, and data.
  • Draw conclusions and actionable insights from analysis.
  • Ensure delivery of work is to the highest possible standard.
  • Contribute to the creative process by sharing ideas and experience.
  • Be accountable for high employee retention and managing direct reports’ growth.

What We're Looking For

  • 12+ years of experience in roles servicing clients in an agency environment.
  • Experience managing large client social AORs and agency teams.
  • Experience managing complex campaigns and retainers.
  • Experience with campaign content production and budget management.
  • Experience leading a high-volume, multi-service retainer for brands/clients.
  • Confidence with both brand and conversion/direct-response campaigns.
  • Experience leading, motivating, and coaching teams of 10+ people.
  • Strong delegation skills with the ability to coordinate activities across multiple projects.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, including direct work with directors, VPs, and C-level clients on strategy.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in organic and paid social.

Team & Environment

You will be leading and line-managing a team of 10+ people, sitting alongside other ‘Directors’ (e.g., Creative, Design).

Work Mode

This is a US remote position. Candidates should be based in the US and able to work within Pacific (PST) or Central (CST) time zones.
