Role Overview
As an Implementation Engineer, you will play a key role in deploying and supporting public safety alert systems used by governments and emergency services worldwide. This fully remote position, based in Hungary, focuses on the technical delivery of critical communication solutions that help protect populations during crises.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Public Warning platforms, including Cell Broadcast and Location-Based SMS systems
- Set up and manage Linux-based production environments in cloud and on-premises setups
- Collaborate with Mobile Network Operators, government agencies, and internal project teams to ensure successful integration
- Conduct system configuration, testing, upgrades, and root cause analysis for technical issues
- Develop technical documentation and provide training to customer teams
- Support international deployment activities, including occasional travel
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience managing Linux systems in production environments
- Firm understanding of IP networking, security protocols, and VPN configurations
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerization (Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible and Terraform
- Programming or scripting experience using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages
- Proven ability to work directly with technical customers and stakeholders
- Fluent English communication skills; additional languages are an asset
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in mobile network technologies, including LTE/5G, RAN, or core networks
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging solutions
- Hold relevant certifications such as Linux professional credentials or Cisco CCNA
Technology Environment
The role leverages a modern stack including Linux, AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform, Python, Go, Bash, IP networking, and secure communications protocols. You’ll work directly with systems that deliver emergency alerts via Cell Broadcast and Location-Based SMS, ensuring reliability and scalability during high-pressure events.
Work Environment
This is a fully remote, home-based role open to candidates in Hungary. You’ll have the flexibility to work from your preferred location within the country while contributing to global deployments. Occasional travel may be required to support system rollouts or customer engagements.
