Role Overview
As an Infrastructure and Operation Engineer, you will be responsible for the ongoing stability, security, and performance of VMware NSX infrastructure. Your work will center on firewall configuration management, daily operational support, troubleshooting, and scheduled maintenance across distributed environments. You will serve as a key technical contact for engineering teams and support critical network transitions during migration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain NSX firewall rules, including additions, modifications, and removals
- Perform day-to-day operations such as incident resolution, change implementation, problem analysis, and system monitoring
- Respond to on-call alerts and support engineering teams during critical events
- Collaborate with engineering to deploy configuration updates and resolve operational issues
- Support infrastructure maintenance tasks, including rolling reboots and firewall cleanup
- Partner with migration teams during gateway cutovers and post-migration cleanup activities
- Provide advanced operational support for ESX and vSphere environments
- Ensure compliance with ITIL practices for change and incident management
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with VMware vSphere
- At least 3 years each in Windows and Linux system administration
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with VMware NSX
- Familiarity with scripting tools such as C#, PowerShell, or similar
- Experience operating in an ITIL-aligned environment
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals including LAN and WAN technologies
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of VCF, vROps, and VRNI
- Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, Perl, Python, or C

Work Model
This is a hybrid role with locations in India and the US. The position includes shift-based scheduling and on-call rotation to ensure continuous system availability.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary ranges from $72,800 to $130,000, with additional offerings including equity stock purchase options, incentive programs, and recognition awards.
