About the Role

Role Overview

This position leads the exploration and integration of forward-looking technologies to strengthen infrastructure capabilities. The engineer will assess emerging tools and platforms, design scalable systems, and ensure solutions align with performance, security, and compliance requirements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and pilot new technologies to identify opportunities for infrastructure improvement
  • Design and implement systems that scale efficiently across cloud and on-premises environments
  • Collaborate with engineering and business teams to understand technical gaps and define effective solutions
  • Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and transition successful projects to operations
  • Ensure all integrations meet regulatory and security standards
  • Work closely with vendor partners to assess available technologies and integration potential
  • Develop technical documentation and system diagrams to support long-term maintenance
  • Coordinate with network, server, endpoint, and software teams to enable seamless interoperability

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or demonstrate equivalent experience. A minimum of five years in IT roles is required, including at least three years focused on systems engineering, integration, or technology development.

Essential experience includes work with cloud platforms, distributed systems, network and endpoint architectures, and system design. Proficiency in technical documentation and diagramming tools is expected.

Preferred candidates will have hands-on exposure to emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, blockchain, or Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role based in Denver, CO, with minimal travel requirements. The position operates within a culture that values accountability, collaboration, and trust. Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is $102,589.71 to $135,674.89. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage; retirement savings with employer contributions; paid time off; tuition reimbursement; childcare assistance; and eligibility for loan forgiveness under the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program.
