This role is central to transforming raw data into meaningful insights within a government agency dedicated to transparency, fairness, and compliance. The Innovation Data Analyst works within the Data Analytics & Governance team to collect, clean, and analyze large datasets, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all reporting systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with leadership to define business priorities and translate them into data requirements
- Extract, process, and model data from multiple sources using SQL, Python, and modern data platforms
- Design and maintain dashboards and visualizations that communicate trends and performance metrics clearly
- Identify anomalies and data quality issues, then recommend corrective actions
- Support data governance by adhering to policies and regulatory standards
- Develop automated workflows to streamline reporting and analysis processes
- Present findings to stakeholders in a way that informs decision-making and strategy
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, or a related field, along with at least two years of experience in data analytics or statistical modeling. Equivalent combinations of education and professional experience will be considered.
Essential skills include data cleaning, transformation, and visualization using industry best practices. Strong written and verbal communication abilities are required, as well as the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Knowledge of Agile or Lean project methodologies
- Hands-on experience with Qlik Analytics, DBT, Snowflake, or Google BigQuery
- Background in building and deploying predictive models in production settings
