Beaver Creek Resort is hiring an Intermediate Automation Technician/ Lift Electronics Tech - Beaver Creek - Full Time, Year Round

About the Role

The Intermediate Automation Technician plays a key role in ensuring the reliable operation of chairlift electronic systems at a leading mountain destination. This position focuses on the programming, maintenance, and real-time monitoring of critical infrastructure including RF networking, SCADA, Historian platforms, and HMI touch screen interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and sustain RF-based monitoring systems for chairlift operations
  • Program and update HMI interfaces and deploy remote monitoring hardware on lifts
  • Maintain and modify SCADA and Historian software configurations
  • Support and mentor entry-level technicians and seasonal staff through hands-on training
  • Perform diagnostics and repairs on low-voltage control systems and electronic circuits
  • Keep technical documentation, schematics, and system diagrams current
  • Log all service activities accurately and report issues promptly to management
  • Follow established safety protocols and escalate unusual conditions immediately
  • Use hand and power tools, test equipment, and vehicles including trucks and snowmobiles
  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as operational needs require

Qualifications

Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with at least three years of hands-on electrical experience. A valid driver’s license is required. The role demands the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, work at elevations up to 100 feet, and handle equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.

Proficiency with digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and control software such as RS Logix and Crimson is essential. Familiarity with PLC systems including Allen Bradley and Pilz, as well as experience with AC/DC drives and motors up to 1000 HP, is strongly preferred.

Work Environment

This is an onsite, year-round position located in Beaver Creek, Colorado. The technician will operate in outdoor alpine conditions and must be prepared for variable weather and terrain.
