Persistent Systems is hiring an Intern - Software Test Engineer (Summer 2026)

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate software development and hardware components within the Wave Relay® system.
  • Design and execute low-level software development tasks, including device drivers, Linux kernel modules, and network stack programming.
  • Assist with engineering tasks both in-house and on-site at customer locations, requiring occasional travel.
  • Connect external systems, sensors, and hardware components to the Wave Relay® platform.
  • Prepare technical documentation and proposals for engineering solutions.

Compensation

The base hourly rate ranges from $25 to $30, depending on individual qualifications.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid, with work conducted at customer sites.

Other

  • Travel to customer sites is required.
  • This position is scheduled for Summer 2026.
  • A US security clearance is required, or the candidate must be eligible to obtain one.
