The IP Solution Architect plays a central role in defining and delivering comprehensive network solutions for customer engagements. From initial concept through implementation, this position leads the development of both logical and physical architectures, ensuring alignment with project scope, technical specifications, and delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and validate end-to-end solution designs across multiple technology domains, including IP-MPLS, BNG, and mobile core networks.
- Break down system requirements and map them to architectural components, ensuring traceability from customer needs to implementation artifacts.
- Evaluate design alternatives, identify optimal technical paths, and support decision-making on system functionality and subsystem boundaries.
- Lead the identification of critical use cases and contribute to establishing acceptance criteria for solution validation.
- Collaborate with project teams to derive product and solution requirements in line with contractual statements of work.
- Conduct risk assessments across technical domains, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain visibility into cost, schedule, and performance impacts.
- Review and contribute to high-level and low-level design documentation, interface specifications, and verification plans.
- Ensure alignment between solution design and product lifecycle roadmaps through coordination with technical stakeholders.
- Maintain bidirectional traceability between requirements, architecture, design, and testing activities.
- Support technical delivery from design through system acceptance, ensuring fidelity to the approved architecture.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with over 12 years of experience in telecommunications, specifically in IP-MPLS and Broadband Network Gateway technologies.
- Proven expertise in designing residential broadband solutions, including BNG, CUPS architectures, CGNAT, and wireless access gateways.
- Strong command of IP/MPLS, Segment Routing, SRv6, BGP EVPN, and related routing protocols.
- Experience with virtualization, NFV, SDN, cloud networking, and automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with data center fabrics, network management systems, and backhaul/core network design.
- Hands-on background in Linux/Unix environments and datacenter networking operations.
- Direct experience with 4G and 5G mobile core deployments.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, for effective cross-functional communication.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, KVM, and Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with telecom routing platforms and broadband gateway solutions.
- Industry certifications such as CCIE, JNCIE, or equivalent credentials are considered advantageous.
- Programming or scripting experience in Python, Perl, Java, or shell environments.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical challenges analytically.
- Strong presentation and customer engagement skills.
- Adaptability and commitment to continuous learning in evolving technology landscapes.
