This role is designed for someone who began their career in accounting or financial analysis and has since moved into software development. We’re seeking a candidate eager to bridge the gap between financial operations and engineering, contributing directly to the design and improvement of systems that handle real-time transactions, reconciliation, and reporting.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and finance teams to refine and maintain financial software systems.
- Develop and test backend features that support core fintech functionality, using modern tools and practices.
- Draw on your background in accounting to spot inefficiencies in workflows and suggest technical improvements.
- Support the full development cycle—from design and implementation to testing and deployment—while following best practices.
- Help evaluate tools and metrics that improve system reliability and developer productivity.
- Ensure solutions align with project goals, security standards, and regulatory considerations.
What We’re Looking For
- Professional experience in accounting, auditing, or financial operations.
- Understanding of financial processes including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance workflows.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with backend API development and database interactions.
- Knowledge of software development tools, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines.
- A degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Technology Environment
You’ll work with a modern stack including Golang, Python, TypeScript, React, and React Native. Backend services run on AWS using Kubernetes, with data stored in MySQL, Postgres, and Amazon Aurora. Monitoring and observability are supported through Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus. Development follows rigorous testing standards—unit, integration, and end-to-end—with GitLab CI/CD managing deployments.
Work Environment
This position is based in Argentina and follows a local-country work model. You’ll be part of a team that values direct communication, fast iteration, and ownership. We move quickly, make decisions with conviction, and learn from outcomes. The culture emphasizes trust, transparency, and resilience—especially when solving complex technical challenges.
Why This Role Matters
This isn’t just a coding role—it’s a chance to use your financial insight to shape how software handles money. You’ll help build systems that are reliable, scalable, and grounded in real accounting principles. Whether you're improving automation or advising on data accuracy, your dual expertise will directly influence product quality and business impact.
