Rockwell Automation is hiring a LCS Business Intelligence Team Leader

LCS Business Intelligence Team Leader

Role Overview

This position leads the Business Intelligence function within Lifecycle Services, focusing on transforming business needs into reliable, data-driven insights. You will manage a team of BI analysts, oversee the development of dashboards and reports, and ensure alignment with enterprise data standards and governance. The role is central to enabling informed decision-making across operational, financial, quality, and performance domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct the creation and deployment of BI tools that support critical business objectives across Lifecycle Services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver analytics that drive measurable impact.
  • Ensure all reporting is accurate, consistent, and built on governed, traceable data sources.
  • Guide team members through coaching, technical oversight, and performance support to maintain high delivery standards.
  • Promote self-service analytics by designing intuitive, user-friendly reporting environments.
  • Identify and resolve data quality issues in partnership with data owners and governance leads.
  • Maintain documentation and integrity of BI assets to support auditability and reuse.
  • Balance short-term reporting demands with long-term strategic initiatives, including AI-readiness.
  • Communicate insights effectively to diverse audiences, adapting messaging to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strengthen cross-functional relationships with IT, Finance, Quality, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computing, Business, or a related field—though substantial experience may substitute for formal education. Proven expertise in BI platforms such as Power BI is essential, along with a strong grasp of data modeling and business logic in service-oriented environments. Experience mentoring technical teams and managing concurrent priorities is required. Familiarity with data governance principles and a disciplined approach to data quality are critical. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who combines analytical depth with clear communication and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring presence at a company location on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with flexibility for remote work on other days based on business needs. The culture values problem-solving, inclusivity, and innovation, supporting personal and professional growth through wellbeing programs, learning resources, and community engagement opportunities.
