This role leads the development and execution of data science strategies aimed at improving business performance, operational effectiveness, and customer engagement. As a key technical leader, you will design and implement advanced analytical models using large-scale datasets, ensuring insights are translated into actionable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deploy machine learning and statistical models to uncover patterns and drive strategic decisions
- Guide project direction by selecting appropriate methodologies and ensuring rigorous interpretation of results
- Present findings clearly to stakeholders across technical and non-technical audiences to support informed decision-making
- Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives, managing timelines, resources, and team development
- Mentor junior data scientists to strengthen technical capabilities and promote professional growth
- Collaborate with IT and analytics teams to evaluate new tools and maintain agility in data science workflows
- Establish reusable frameworks, documentation, and best practices to scale model deployment
- Champion innovation by identifying new opportunities where data science can create competitive advantage
- Represent the data science function as a subject matter expert in prescriptive techniques such as optimization, NLP, or recommendation systems
- Contribute to knowledge sharing through publications, conferences, and internal training
Qualifications
Candidates must have strong experience in predictive modeling, data mining, and statistical analysis, with a proven ability to extract business insights from complex data. A background in a quantitative discipline is essential, with preference given to those holding a PhD or equivalent experience in fields such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics.
Preferred candidates will have over a decade of analytics experience, proficiency in Python, SQL, and Google BigQuery, and hands-on experience with Tableau for visualization. Expertise in prescriptive modeling techniques—including optimization, computer vision, search, and recommendation systems—is highly valued.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position within the United States, with minimal travel required.
