AECOM is hiring a Lead Designer Mechanical - Wastewater/Water to join our team based in Mumbai, India. In this role, you will lead the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) systems, generate critical project documents, and mentor local teams to elevate design and delivery capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Work under general supervision to direct project support and production.
  • Provide training and technical support to design staff on the BIM system.
  • Create drawings using standards and content to meet job requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support for all BIM applications, working closely with the Design Technology Manager.
  • Guide the transition from traditional BIM practices into a more integrated design approach.
  • Educate office leadership and operations on BIM tools and assist project teams from onset to manage expectations.
  • Generate BIM documents for construction and bidding purposes.
  • Participate in Mechanical Coordination phases when Revit models are required for clash detection.
  • Mentor local Revit leadership and develop project-specific implementation strategies.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure BIM success.
  • Standardize and document Revit workflows & best practices.
  • Maintain BIM standards and design templates to ensure quality and consistency of design deliverables worldwide.

What We're Looking For

  • A Diploma (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college, institute, or university.
  • 7 - 10 Years of experience in the wastewater/water industry.
  • Completion of a drafting course from a recognized institute.
  • Working experience using REVIT, AutoCAD, and Microstation.
  • Professional registration in your designated home office country or active pursuit of such registration.
