Responsibilities
- Drive the strategy for DevOps and platform infrastructure, focusing on Kubernetes advancements, application packaging, EKS migration, and empowering teams to deploy safely to production.
- Lead through hands-on engineering by designing, reviewing, and improving Kubernetes and CNCF-based systems while establishing technical best practices.
- Design resilient, multi-cluster, multi-region environments using service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd, Cluster API, and policy enforcement with Kyverno.
- Develop progressive delivery pipelines using Flux and Flagger to enable GitOps workflows, canary deployments, and automated release processes.
- Enable cloud-native provisioning through controllers such as Crossplane and ACK for seamless Kubernetes-integrated resource management.
- Implement Zero Trust security principles using Vault, Boundary, service identity, and mTLS to secure communication across service meshes.
- Create automated, policy-driven compliance systems using OPA and Kyverno, with secure configurations across the software supply chain.
- Define and enforce infrastructure-as-code and GitOps standards, integrating automated testing for all infrastructure changes.
- Experiment with and build prototype agentic infrastructure components, including intelligent deployment and observability layers in service mesh environments.
- Support development of the AI-powered API gateway, including data plane operations, certificate management, and monitoring via DataDog.
- Advance DevSecOps maturity by integrating static and dynamic security testing, chaos engineering, and error budget tracking.
- Partner with Security, Data, and AI teams to co-develop compliant, scalable platform architectures aligned with regulatory standards.
- Stay current with emerging trends in the CNCF and AI ecosystems, including eBPF-based observability and agent-aware orchestration models.
