Lead Mechatronics Engineer
Drive the creation and refinement of next-generation sensing technologies within a multidisciplinary engineering environment. This position is central to advancing hardware, firmware, and algorithm integration for high-performance gamepad and simulator platforms, ensuring technical excellence and seamless user experience from initial concept through to full-scale manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the innovation and implementation of new sensing solutions, evaluating technologies and architectures based on performance, usability, risk, and production feasibility
- Design and develop complete sensing systems encompassing analog hardware, embedded firmware, and signal processing algorithms
- Build functional prototypes to test and validate new concepts and components
- Develop test methodologies, tools, and setups to characterize and benchmark sensing performance
- Lead technical reviews including design validation, failure mode analysis, and engineering verification testing
- Perform qualification testing and ensure compliance with product requirements
- Collaborate with engineering teams across multiple locations to align system-level development
Qualifications
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Control Systems, Computer Engineering, or Physics
- Minimum of 9 years in consumer electronics development
- Strong background in analog sensor design and low-power embedded systems
- Proficient with ARM Cortex-M microcontrollers and peripheral interfaces (ADC, DMA, SPI, I2C, UART)
- Extensive experience in C and C++ programming for embedded applications
- Familiarity with OrCAD for circuit design and Python for data analysis
- Proven track record in full-system development and mass production support
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical methods including FMEA, SPC, GR&R, DOE, and 8D
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Self-driven with strong organizational abilities and the capacity to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives
- Willingness to travel as needed
