Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle development of backend services for financial wellness platforms, using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Postgres, and Kafka.
- Design and evaluate RESTful APIs and data interfaces to ensure secure, versioned, and seamless integration across internal and third-party systems.
- Advocate for event-driven system design and implement telemetry pipelines using Kafka to manage financial events, offers, and alerts with strict schema governance.
- Ensure system reliability through SLO management, performance testing, capacity planning, multi-AZ deployment strategies, and incident response protocols.
- Collaborate with security, privacy, and legal teams to meet regulatory standards for PII handling, credit reporting, and compliance across financial products.
- Guide engineering teams through mentorship, lead technical design discussions, and contribute to the long-term architecture strategy for backend systems.
