Blew & Associates, P.A. is hiring a Mechanical Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Create designs for mechanical and HVAC systems following relevant codes and industry standards
  • Carry out engineering computations for heating, cooling, ventilation, and selection of mechanical equipment
  • Produce construction documentation such as drawings, specifications, and project schedules
  • Collaborate with architectural, structural, electrical, and plumbing disciplines to align design efforts
  • Evaluate submittals and shop drawings to ensure technical accuracy and compliance
  • Address requests for information (RFIs) arising during construction phases
  • Perform site inspections to confirm field conditions and monitor installation progress
  • Keep project records current and update designs as needed
  • Assess mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and associated building systems during Property Condition Assessments (PCAs)
  • Draft PCA reports in compliance with applicable ASTM standards
  • Liaise with clients, internal teams, and external consultants for both PCA and design projects
  • Utilize standard engineering software for design and documentation tasks
