Deckers Brands is seeking a Mobile Engineering Expert for a contract role in Mexico. You will join our team to work closely with one of our premier US clients, contributing your hands-on development skills to build and enhance mobile applications. This is a role for a passionate and highly skilled engineer who thrives on rapid iteration, live prototyping, and collaborative ideation.
What You'll Do
- Build and enhance mobile applications for both iOS and Android using Swift and React Native.
- Deliver quick iterations and live prototypes for beta testing and product validation.
- Work hand-in-hand with client stakeholders in real-time discussions to brainstorm, refine, and demo new features.
- Operate autonomously, making key technical decisions while coordinating with internal mobile experts.
- Ensure consistent performance and UI/UX across iOS and Android environments.
- Apply modern testing, debugging, and optimization techniques to maintain high-quality standards.
- Contribute to idea generation and product innovation discussions with design and product teams.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience in mobile development.
- Strong hands-on expertise in Swift (iOS) and React Native (Cross-Platform).
- Experience integrating APIs, analytics, and push notifications.
- Demonstrated ability to build and ship production-quality apps rapidly.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and mobile app performance optimization.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote US-based teams.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience working on mobile apps for sports teams, fan engagement, or entertainment.
- Prior experience working with clients in sports, media, or fan engagement.
