WIZELINE is looking for a Mobile Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership and mentorship within our mobile engineering team. In this role, you will serve as a key technical point of contact, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration while contributing directly to our mobile applications.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a technical point of contact for the team: facilitate discussions, unblock engineers, provide architectural guidance, and uphold best practices.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with product and design to refine scope, estimate work, and align on timelines and priorities.
- Contribute hands-on across mobile platforms by implementing features, fixing bugs, and improving performance.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years of iOS native mobile development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Swift and SwiftUI.
- Familiarity with data structures, system design, and design patterns.
- Proficiency in API design, MVVM, declarative UI, Git, and DevOps.
Nice to Have
- AI Tooling Proficiency: Leverage one or more AI tools to optimize and augment day-to-day work, including drafting, analysis, research, or process automation. Provide recommendations on effective AI use and identify opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Passion for news and creativity in introducing new ideas and technologies.
- Full-stack background is a plus, with familiarity in cloud services, GraphQL, Firebase, etc.
- A background in journalism is advantageous.
