Role Overview
We need a skilled MuleSoft Integration Engineer to lead the assessment and improvement of our live Mule Community Edition integration platform. You will identify root causes of performance bottlenecks, scalability constraints, and reliability concerns, then implement solutions that ensure long-term resilience and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth analysis of the current Mule CE environment to uncover technical debt and architectural weaknesses
- Diagnose and resolve issues affecting throughput, latency, memory consumption, and thread handling
- Enhance error recovery, logging precision, monitoring coverage, and alerting responsiveness
- Apply integration design patterns and deployment standards aligned with production best practices
- Develop operational documentation, performance benchmarks, and governance policies
- Advise on future platform evolution, including scalability and sustainability strategies
Required Qualifications
- 4–5 years of direct experience supporting Mule ESB or Mule Community Edition in production settings
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex performance and stability issues
- Experience maintaining integration platforms without formal vendor support
- Firm grasp of JVM internals, threading models, and system resource optimization
- Proficiency with REST, HTTP/S, and file-based integration protocols
- Strong documentation skills for technical findings and operational procedures
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with migration paths from Mule CE to MuleSoft Anypoint or other iPaaS platforms
- Background with monitoring tools and system observability techniques
- Proven success in stabilizing high-throughput, business-critical integration systems
