About the Role

What You'll Do

Act as the primary technical lead for enterprise networking projects, guiding teams through the design and deployment of sophisticated SDN and SD-WAN environments. Collaborate directly with clients to assess business objectives and translate them into scalable network architectures using Cisco technologies. Oversee full lifecycle implementation—from configuration and integration to testing and optimization—ensuring seamless operation in complex network infrastructures.

Deliver Tier 3 support to resolve critical technical issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes. Document system designs and operational procedures thoroughly, providing clients with clear knowledge transfer. Maintain accurate project records and contribute to continuous improvement by refining deployment methodologies.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in network engineering, including LAN/WAN design, implementation, and security
  • Proven expertise with Cisco routers, Catalyst switches, Catalyst Center, and Meraki switching and wireless platforms
  • Familiarity with Cisco Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing protocols
  • Experience managing wireless networks using Cisco WLC and access points
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem resolution abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on technical clarity
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when handling network hardware

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of SD-WAN and SD-Access architectures
  • Prior experience in a value-added reseller (VAR) environment
  • Holding certifications across multiple technology vendors

Benefits

This role involves approximately 50% travel to client sites within the greater New Orleans and Baton Rouge areas. Work is conducted on-site, supporting direct engagement with customer environments and project teams.
