Oklo Inc. is hiring a Network Systems Technician

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support wired and wireless network components such as switches, access points, firewalls, and cabling infrastructure
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems across user devices, conference rooms, laboratories, and office spaces
  • Help configure network services including VLAN assignments, DNS, DHCP, and IP address management
  • Support secure remote access and VPN solutions in collaboration with IT and cybersecurity teams
  • Provide technical assistance for endpoints running macOS, Ubuntu/Linux, and Windows operating systems
  • Assist in deploying, configuring, and maintaining end-user devices and connected peripherals
  • Support basic server operations and virtual environments, including platforms like VMware
  • Manage device access and user permissions using directory and endpoint management tools such as JumpCloud, Jamf, or Intune
  • Troubleshoot and maintain audiovisual systems in meeting rooms and collaborative workspaces
  • Ensure stable network and system performance during meetings, presentations, and company-wide events
  • Collaborate with on-site personnel to fulfill daily IT and audiovisual support requirements
  • Follow security best practices for network and system configurations, including patching and access controls
  • Assist in complying with data security and export control regulations, such as 10 CFR Part 810
  • Support data backup, recovery processes, and basic monitoring for networked systems
  • Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams on infrastructure enhancements and new technology rollouts
  • Assist in upgrading, refreshing, and expanding network and system environments
  • Document network topologies, system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting methods
  • Identify patterns in technical issues and recommend solutions to improve system reliability and user satisfaction

  • Remote employees must travel to the Santa Clara, CA headquarters twice per quarter, as needed for team meetings, off-sites, and company events.
  • New hires must be physically present at the Santa Clara, CA headquarters for the first two weeks of onboarding.
  • This role may involve access to information regulated by U.S. export control laws. Eligibility is limited to individuals who qualify as U.S. persons under applicable regulations.
