About the Role

The role involves providing hands-on technical service for laboratory equipment, troubleshooting system issues, and performing scheduled maintenance to ensure reliable instrument operation in customer environments.

Responsibilities

  • Install and configure scientific instruments at client locations
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment
  • Diagnose and resolve technical malfunctions promptly
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Provide on-the-spot training to laboratory personnel
  • Document service activities and outcomes accurately
  • Respond to urgent service requests within defined timeframes
  • Collaborate with technical teams to escalate complex issues
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and tools
  • Follow detailed service protocols and manufacturer guidelines
  • Verify instrument performance post-repair or installation
  • Communicate technical updates to customers clearly
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements for device servicing
  • Support validation and qualification processes
  • Minimize instrument downtime through proactive servicing
  • Track and report recurring equipment issues
  • Maintain up-to-date technical certifications
  • Coordinate service schedules with client operations
  • Use diagnostic software to assess system health
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through reliable service delivery

Nice to Have

  • Experience servicing life science instrumentation
  • Background in molecular biology equipment
  • Certification in biomedical equipment technology
  • Familiarity with GLP and GMP environments
  • Prior work with automated laboratory systems
