About the Role

As a Payments & Reconciliation Analyst, you will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial data across multiple payment channels. Your primary responsibility will be configuring and overseeing automated reconciliation workflows using Simetrik, integrating inputs from bank statements, payment gateways, and internal systems to ensure all transactions are accurately tracked and accounted for.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, monitor, and refine reconciliation rules in Simetrik, including matching logic, tolerance thresholds, and data mappings across diverse sources.
  • Investigate and resolve transaction mismatches and exceptions, ensuring alignment between actual cash movements and recorded financial activity.
  • Verify that fees charged by acquirers and processors are correct, helping to safeguard revenue and prevent financial leakage.
  • Ensure financial records reflect real-time cash flows, supporting audit compliance and regulatory requirements such as SOC and Basel standards.
  • Produce clear reports and dashboards that track cash inflows by payment method and currency, providing visibility across the organization.
  • Work closely with Finance, Payments, Risk, and external partners to streamline end-to-end transaction processing.
  • Identify inefficiencies and lead initiatives to automate manual steps, standardize processes, and improve system reliability.

What You Bring

  • At least three years of experience in payment operations, financial reconciliations, or fintech operations.
  • Proven expertise with Simetrik, including rule configuration, data mapping, and reconciliation monitoring.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data cleaning techniques.
  • Strong grasp of payment systems, including acquiring, card networks, settlement cycles, and gateway integrations.
  • Exceptional analytical ability and a meticulous approach to data accuracy.
  • Capacity to manage multiple workflows independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining precision.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with SQL or tools for handling large datasets.
  • Background in regulated financial environments or prior involvement in audit or compliance processes.
  • Experience working with international teams across time zones.
