As a Polymer Scientist - Senior Scientist I, you will lead investigative work into the physical and chemical behaviors of polysaccharides, driving innovation from concept through application development. Key Responsibilities
- Investigate the core material properties of polysaccharides and their derivatives to inform product design
- Evaluate how polymer characteristics influence performance in industrial and consumer applications
- Design and refine laboratory processes to improve efficiency and reproducibility
- Support pilot-scale testing with internal teams and external partners
- Enhance lab infrastructure and promote digital data management practices
- Stay current with scientific advancements and integrate findings into ongoing projects
- Present technical results across internal divisions and at scientific forums
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to align research with market needs
Qualifications and Experience
You hold a PhD in Material Science, Physical Chemistry, or a closely related field, and bring 1–3 years of industrial experience. You are technically adept, with a proven ability to transform scientific concepts into tangible outcomes. Your approach is meticulous, innovative, and grounded in empirical rigor.
- Hands-on expertise in polymer characterization and formulation, especially with water-soluble or biodegradable systems
- Familiarity with polysaccharide processing methods and application spaces such as personal or fabric care
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
Technology and Innovation
You will work with advanced tools including generative AI for molecular design, high-throughput screening platforms, biocatalysis, and full-scale manufacturing validation.
