This role is central to maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our cloud-based database infrastructure. As a PostgreSQL Database Administrator, you will manage deployment, monitoring, and ongoing support of critical database systems that power our cloud services.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain PostgreSQL, MySQL, and SQL Server databases in cloud environments, primarily on AWS and Azure
- Optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and configuration adjustments
- Design and implement robust backup, recovery, and high-availability strategies
- Develop scripts to automate routine tasks and improve operational efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering, security, and support teams to resolve complex database issues
- Support compliance initiatives by ensuring databases meet security and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required, with residency within the United States due to FedRAMP compliance needs
- 2–5 years of direct experience managing PostgreSQL and SQL Server databases
- Proven ability with MySQL administration in cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
- Strong background in performance optimization, indexing strategies, and SQL query analysis
