Design and implement advanced Power BI reports and interactive dashboards that align with evolving business needs. You will work extensively with semantic models and large-scale datasets, ensuring solutions are efficient, maintainable, and built for growth.
What You'll Do
- Develop and deploy Power BI visualizations that transform raw data into clear, actionable insights
- Optimize query performance and model efficiency across analytics platforms
- Use Power Query to connect, clean, and shape data from diverse sources
- Refactor legacy BI systems to improve scalability and long-term viability
- Collaborate with business teams to understand objectives and translate them into technical implementations
- Provide training and ongoing support to help users get the most from Power BI tools
- Document development processes and system architecture to support team knowledge sharing
Requirements
- Fluent English (B2 or above)
- Minimum of four years’ experience as a Power BI developer
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing optimized queries over complex datasets
- Deep understanding of DAX, including context handling, performance tuning, and Row-Level Security
- Proven expertise in Power Query for advanced data transformations
- Familiarity with dimensional modeling and data warehousing principles
- Ability to create intuitive, high-impact visualizations grounded in best practices
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and precision in analytical work
- Clear communication skills for engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience producing detailed technical documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in data warehouse design and implementation
- Experience working in Agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban
- Integration of Power BI reports into web applications using Power BI Embedded
- Hands-on work with Azure Data Factory or Azure Synapse Analytics
- Microsoft BI or SQL certifications
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Power BI, including Deployment Pipelines or Azure DevOps
- Exposure to Fabric Dataflows, Lakehouses, or Power BI Premium capabilities
