As a Pre-Sales Systems Engineer, you will play a key technical role in guiding enterprise customers through digital evolution. Your expertise in storage architectures, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies will help translate complex business challenges into scalable, secure solutions using modern data platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain deep insight into customer operations, identifying core business drivers and decision factors
- Map technology capabilities—including cloud storage, containerization, and hybrid infrastructure—to tangible business results
- Collaborate with sales and technical teams to shape unified strategies that enhance customer experience and expand market reach
- Lead technical discussions, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept initiatives to secure client commitments
- Define system configurations, lead benchmarking efforts, and manage evaluation cycles
- Translate customer requirements into tailored architectures that support growth and operational efficiency
- Prepare detailed responses to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring technical accuracy and strategic alignment
- Support the development of technical content such as whitepapers and webinars in partnership with marketing teams
- Stay ahead of competitive offerings and industry shifts to maintain strong, differentiated positioning
- Champion innovation by promoting forward-thinking approaches across storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure
Qualifications
Candidates must have at least five years of experience in enterprise technology, with a focus on storage, networking, or cloud systems. A strong foundation in distributed computing, file systems (including NFS and Linux environments), and virtualization platforms like VMware is essential. Familiarity with SAN, NAS, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel architectures is required.
Professionals with exposure to public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker), and microservices-based applications are strongly preferred. Experience in responding to technical proposals and leading sales engineering efforts is expected.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field is required, or equivalent practical experience.
