Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the complete technical roadmap for the RBVM platform and related services, spanning conception, development, ongoing improvement, and future growth.
- Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to convert unclear product and business objectives into actionable technical strategies, system designs, and implementation plans.
- Write and deliver production-grade code that establishes benchmarks for software design, code integrity, and operational discipline.
- Lead decision-making on system architecture for high-scale backend platforms, ensuring optimal tradeoffs between speed, stability, maintainability, flexibility, and operational needs.
- Manage progress across multiple simultaneous projects, proactively identifying risks, interdependencies, and compromises while guiding effective work prioritization.
- Work closely with Product, engineering leadership, Design, and peer engineering teams to execute cross-team initiatives and ensure technical choices support business goals and user requirements.
- Explain intricate technical topics in clear terms to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive stakeholders.
- Elevate engineering standards through consistent architecture evaluations, code reviews, technical documentation, and sound judgment in uncertain situations.
- Guide and grow engineering team members through constructive feedback, technical mentorship, and frameworks that enable high-impact work.
- Assist in scaling the organization by contributing to recruitment efforts, including candidate sourcing, interviewing, and evaluation consistency for engineering roles.
