Responsibilities
- Lead software development and integration for networking hardware across a fleet of spacecraft, including routers, radios, and laser communication systems.
- Oversee supplier and subcontractor performance to ensure timely development and testing of integrated solutions.
- Collaborate directly with external partners and internal engineering groups to establish and maintain product development timelines and deliverables.
- Create simulation and testing frameworks tailored to networked satellite constellations.
- Establish key performance indicators for both external contractors and internal software teams.
- Orchestrate regular feature delivery cycles from subcontractors to align with program objectives.
- Collaborate with leadership to define and adjust engineering staffing strategies.
- Coordinate major integration and testing milestones across cross-functional teams.
- Promote systematic feedback collection and continuous improvement practices.
- Define and enforce software development standards to ensure high-quality, requirements-compliant deliverables.

Team
The Space Systems division designs and manufactures spacecraft, payloads, and space-qualified components such as flight software, radios, and optical systems. The team has supported over 1,700 missions for NASA, the Space Development Agency, and the U.S. Space Force, including interplanetary and defense-related projects.
