Responsibilities
- Shape the strategic direction of Model Lab to position the company as a leader in experiment tracking and model training observability
- Spearhead initial product research in collaboration with AI research groups, machine learning engineers, and infrastructure leads to uncover user needs and workflow challenges
- Build a unified system that integrates training metrics, hyperparameter data, model artifacts, dataset provenance, and evaluation results into a scalable interface
- Analyze gaps and advantages compared to existing commercial tools and internally developed solutions
- Work hand-in-hand with engineering and design teams to launch core features including experiment lineage, artifact version control, visibility into distributed training, and reproducibility tools
- Coordinate with go-to-market teams to shape product packaging, messaging, and early access initiatives
- Support onboarding of initial customers through design collaborations and private beta testing
- Convert complex, unstructured research processes into intuitive product features and developer interfaces
- Define key performance indicators and refine the product rapidly using user feedback and behavioral data
