Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for psychiatry providers and psychiatric patients on the behalf of the provider as necessary.
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries, clarifying processes and coordinating follow-up care.
- Assist with scheduling psychiatric appointments and medication management sessions.
- Facilitate communication among psychiatrists, therapists, and other providers to support integrated, team-based care. Support providers with prescription refill requests, prior authorizations, and lab orders.
- Assist with onboarding new psychiatry providers
- Streamline workflows and collaborate with the clinical team to improve operational efficiency.
- Monitor and flag urgent patient concerns, escalating them appropriately to psychiatry providers or clinical managers.
- Contribute to data collection and reporting efforts to support quality improvement and compliance initiatives.
- Provide empathetic, respectful, and culturally sensitive support throughout each patient’s care journey.
- Foster a collaborative, compassionate, and patient-centered culture within the psychiatry team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- At least one year of experience in patient support, customer service, or a related role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or crisis situations.
- Ability to work effectively in a digital healthcare or telehealth environment.
- Proficiency with EHR systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Self-starter with a growth mindset, excellent interpersonal skills, and a collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Access to a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace.
Nice to Have
- Experience in behavioral health, psychiatry, or clinical support strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with mental health terminology and psychiatric medications.

- Travel to San Jose, CA office up to three times per year
