Babelgroup is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our agile squads in Iberia. In this role, you will have a direct impact on product quality by designing and implementing automation strategies, promoting engineering best practices, and collaborating across teams to ensure robust, scalable deliveries. You'll be part of a highly collaborative team focused on quality and continuous learning.
What You'll Do
- Automate E2E tests for both frontend and backend components.
- Design comprehensive testing strategies and promote QA best practices across the team.
- Collaborate with development, architecture, and product teams to ensure robust and scalable deliveries.
- Apply Shift-Left practices from the start of the development cycle.
- Define quality metrics and ensure the final user experience meets high standards.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on experience with Xray + Jira for test case management and traceability.
- Proven ability in frontend E2E automation with WebdriverIO, Mocha, and TypeScript.
- Proven ability in backend E2E automation with Karate.
- Solid experience as a QA Engineer with the ability to lead strategies and define a quality vision.
- Mastery of KPIs and quality metrics.
- Practical knowledge of microservices architectures.
- Experience implementing Shift-Left practices.
- Good command of Java, Maven, and Git.
- Experience testing services using Postman or SoapUI.
- Knowledge of the Gherkin language (Given–When–Then).
Nice to Have
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge of performance testing, continuous integration, and automation best practices.
- Experience in cloud environments.
- Handling of observability tools like Dynatrace.
- Knowledge of quality in distributed environments and CI/CD pipelines.
