As a QA Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining the integrity and functionality of our online sportsbook platform. You'll design and execute both manual and automated test cases, focusing on core features like betting markets, live odds updates, in-play event handling, and risk controls. Your work will directly impact the accuracy, performance, and compliance of the user experience.
What You'll Do
- Develop and run comprehensive test strategies, plans, and schedules to validate sportsbook functionality across frontend and backend systems.
- Identify, log, and follow up on defects using tools like JIRA, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently.
- Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to maintain high standards across releases.
- Verify the correctness of betting calculations, data flows, and adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders within an Agile/Scrum framework to support timely, high-quality sprint deliveries.
- Ensure testing practices align with established quality benchmarks and validation methods.
What We're Looking For
- At least 5 years of QA testing experience, ideally in sports betting, gaming, or fintech environments.
- Familiarity with sportsbook operations, including market types, odds behavior, and live event dynamics.
- Proven ability to test complex systems and validate data integrity under real-time conditions.
- Experience working in Agile teams and contributing to sprint goals.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright.
- Proficiency in SQL for backend data validation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git and Jenkins.
- Familiarity with test management platforms like TestRail or similar.
- A genuine interest in sports betting and user behavior patterns.
Technology Environment
Our testing ecosystem includes Jira, Postman, SQL, Report Portal, Jenkins, GitHub, BrowserStack, LambdaTest, Kibana, Grafana, Cypress, WDIO, and RestAssured.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role based in Graz, Austria, with flexibility to work remotely for up to 40 days per year. You'll have access to a modern workspace in the Reininghaus district, a brand-new laptop, and support for setting up a home office with a one-time allowance of 250 EUR.
