Responsibilities
- Create and update automated test scripts using Java, Selenium WebDriver, and testing frameworks like TestNG or JUnit.
- Improve and support test automation frameworks integrated with CI/CD workflows to run automated smoke and regression tests.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to clarify requirements and contribute quality assurance insights.
- Develop and record test cases, scenarios, and strategies for functional, regression, and end-to-end test phases.
- Engage in stakeholder reviews of test design, coverage, and automation logic.
- Detect test coverage deficiencies, analyze defect root causes, and refine test cases as needed.
- Conduct API testing for REST and SOAP services using tools such as Postman and RestAssured.
- Write SQL queries, including joins and subqueries, to verify test outcomes in backend databases.
- Run, observe, and assess test results in alignment with defined testing metrics and quality indicators.
- Log, monitor, and resolve software defects using issue-tracking platforms like Azure DevOps or JIRA.
- Coordinate with QA, development, and product teams to address and resolve issues efficiently.
- Carry out manual functional and exploratory testing when automation is not practical.
- Operate within an Agile/Scrum framework, supporting continuous testing throughout the development cycle.
