Tactibit Technologies is seeking a Quality Assurance Software Tester to support Federal Government projects involving satellite operations, critical infrastructure, and search and rescue. The role involves executing automated and manual tests in an AWS cloud environment and ensuring software meets strict compliance and security standards.
What You'll Do
- Execute automated and manual test cases against applications deployed in an AWS cloud environment and analyze results
- Log and document bugs and similar test failures in the tracking system
- Review and analyze software requirement and design specifications
- Evaluate product code according to specifications
- Assist with troubleshooting issues
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
- Support security testing, hardening, and assessments to meet strict compliance and operational security requirements
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of software testing/QA experience
- Experience in project management and QA methodology
- Familiarity with modern agile software development principles, practices, methods, and tools
- Experience with version control systems (preferably Git) and issue tracking software (preferably Jira)
- Ability to troubleshoot, document, and explain errors
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Must be able to pass a full background investigation and obtain a security badge to enter the applicable government facility
Nice to Have
- Experience working with AWS services or AWS cloud certification(s) are a plus
- Familiarity with GIS and similar scientific data and applications
- Industry certifications such as AWS certifications, CCSP, Cloud+, Security+, and GCLD
