Responsibilities
- Establish and carry out testing approaches, deciding automation scope, manual testing needs, and coverage targets for various projects and products
- Create, build, and update automated testing systems for user interfaces using tools like Playwright and Selenium, and for APIs with tools such as Postman
- Embed automated tests within continuous integration and deployment workflows, including GitHub Actions and Jenkins, to execute tests on each build and deployment
- Perform testing for performance, load, and reliability using instruments like k6 and JMeter to verify systems can manage actual usage at large scale
- Collaborate with development and product teams to promote improved design, testability, and early quality integration in the development process
- Employ AI-powered tools to aid in test creation, exploratory testing, defect prioritization, and identifying root causes
- Assess opportunities for AI to enhance quality assurance processes while ensuring results are verified, sustainable, and secure
- Detect, record, and monitor defects; help with reproducing and debugging issues to speed up fixes
- Consistently enhance test coverage, minimize unreliable tests, and improve test run efficiency
- Examine and add to technical documents, test strategies, and reports on quality metrics
- Carry out impromptu quality assurance tasks like testing urgent fixes, devising test coverage, running test plans, and supporting patch releases
- Analyze and suggest new testing tools, technologies, and AI-driven methods to raise the team's quality benchmarks
