Role Overview
As a Remote Delivery Engineer, you will deliver technical oversight for critical power generation assets using remote monitoring and diagnostic methods. Your primary focus will be on Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs), Gas and Steam turbines, and Compressors, ensuring reliable and safe operation across combined cycle facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct continuous remote monitoring and technical diagnostics of power generation equipment to identify performance deviations and potential failures.
- Review and interpret P&IDs, instrumentation specifications, and equipment datasheets to assess system integrity and operational efficiency.
- Oversee Balance of Plant (BOP) systems, ensuring integration and coordination across subsystems for optimal plant performance.
- Generate detailed performance reports, highlighting anomalies, root causes, and recommended corrective measures.
- Support on-site personnel by diagnosing complex technical issues and guiding resolution strategies.
- Keep comprehensive records of all monitoring activities, diagnostic findings, and follow-up actions.
- Communicate technical findings clearly to both engineering teams and non-specialist stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- At least five years of hands-on experience in remote diagnostics of power generation systems, particularly HRSGs, turbines, and compressors.
- Proven ability to work with P&IDs, instrumentation documentation, and system schematics.
- Strong understanding of Balance of Plant (BOP) components and their operational interdependencies.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency with Office Suite and digital reporting tools.
- Demonstrated capability to operate effectively as an independent desk engineer in a remote setting.
Preferred Qualifications
- Direct experience with combined cycle power plants and control room support functions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially under time-sensitive conditions.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
Technical Environment
You will work with P&IDs, instrumentation datasheets, BOP system documentation, and standard office software tools to deliver accurate, timely insights.
