Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN Health Care Facility Surveyor to join a team conducting on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid certified health care facilities. The role assesses compliance with Federal regulations across the country. This is a 100% remote position requiring up to 75% travel.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a team member or leader on various surveys including re-certification, comparative, complaint investigation, and revisits for long-term and non-long-term care facilities.
  • Conduct on-site surveys to determine compliance with Federal regulations.
  • Perform survey preparations including off-site review, facility tours, observation of care, record review, and interviews with staff and families.
  • Determine if care, treatment, and services meet Federal requirements.
  • Evaluate multiple aspects of facility systems from quality of care to consumer rights and physical plant.
  • Communicate non-compliance issues with key personnel throughout the review and during the exit conference.
  • Assess the acceptability of a facility's plan of correction.
  • Conduct follow-up visits and monitoring surveys to verify implementation of correction plans.
  • Assist with facility and bureau training and participate in work groups as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • An Associate or Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
  • Successful completion of CMS’s Long-Term Care Basic Training and a passing score on the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
  • At least two (2) years of recent experience as a surveyor accrediting or certifying long-term care facilities.
  • Current, active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • A demonstrated history of independent decision-making skills to direct and manage the survey process.
  • Ability to set priorities independently and collectively when performing survey tasks.
  • Ability to openly discuss conflicts and seek assistance when appropriate to resolve them.
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time on a regular basis.

You will work with a Quality Improvement Consulting Company supporting internal and external customers nationwide.
