We're looking for a skilled Rust Engineer to help design and refine high-speed trading systems within a fully remote, international team. You'll play a central role in maintaining and advancing infrastructure that powers real-time trading operations, working hand-in-hand with quants, traders, and fellow engineers to ensure performance, reliability, and scalability.
What You'll Do
- Build and refine low-latency trading systems that operate under strict performance demands
- Collaborate across disciplines to improve execution efficiency and system stability
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues to optimize exchange integration and trade execution speed
- Design robust, cloud-native solutions on AWS using containerized environments like EKS and Kubernetes
- Support testing processes for critical components to ensure functional accuracy and operational resilience
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in trading environments—particularly in HFT, market making, or proprietary trading
- Strong command of AWS, Linux, and shell scripting, with a solid grasp of networking concepts like TCP/UDP and packet analysis
- Familiarity with trading APIs (FIX, REST, WebSocket) and real-time market data integration
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
- Ownership mindset—reliably delivering high-quality work while anticipating and resolving issues proactively
- Strong communication skills and the ability to thrive in a distributed, collaborative team
Nice to Have
- Deep Rust expertise, especially with the Tokio runtime
- Experience using Python or scripting languages in the context of trading strategy development
