Responsibilities
- Conduct manual testing for new features, updates, bug fixes, and experimental changes.
- Verify that development outputs align with specified requirements, design mockups, copy, and acceptance conditions.
- Evaluate user interface, user experience, business rules, responsiveness, edge cases, error handling, loading indicators, and validation feedback.
- Carry out exploratory, smoke, and regression testing cycles prior to product releases.
- Test web application functionality across leading desktop and mobile browsers.
- Detect issues specific to certain browsers or devices.
- Assess A/B testing setups and feature-flagged deployments before public rollout.
- Confirm correct behavior of experiments, targeting logic, fallback mechanisms, and associated analytics tracking.
- Validate payment processing, checkout procedures, subscription management, billing systems, and access controls.
- Test both successful and failed payment scenarios, including rare or complex edge cases.
- Ensure critical analytics events are triggered accurately and include correct data properties.
- Document defects clearly with steps to reproduce, screenshots or video evidence, environment details, severity level, and business impact.
- Re-test resolved issues to confirm complete and accurate fixes.
- Report QA status transparently before release: passed, failed, blocked, or passed with known issues.
