This role is central to the technical success of our security product sales, serving as the go-to expert during the pre-sales phase. You'll partner closely with sales teams to assess customer needs and architect effective solutions using our portfolio of network security technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical resource during the sales cycle for NETGEAR’s security offerings.
- Design customized solutions based on client requirements and deliver clear, compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concept deployments.
- Support Managed Service Providers and SMBs in adopting technologies such as Next-Generation Firewalls, Zero-Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateways, and SD-WAN.
- Lead technical discussions, onboarding, and training for partners and customers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to relay market insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence.
- Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats, industry standards, and technological advancements.
- Represent the company at events, webinars, and technical forums to showcase product capabilities.
Qualifications
Candidates should hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in sales engineering or systems architecture focused on network security. Direct experience deploying firewalls, ZTNA, SWG, VPNs, and SD-WAN is essential. Familiarity with TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, and routing protocols is required, as is the ability to explain technical concepts in business terms.
Strong communication and presentation skills are a must, along with prior experience supporting MSPs or SMBs in a technical sales role. Certifications such as CISSP are valued, as are skills in scripting (Python, Bash), cloud security platforms, and knowledge of compliance frameworks like GDPR or HIPAA.
