As a Scientific Data Architect, you will lead the creation of intelligent, scalable datasets that power AI-driven discovery in biopharma research and development. Your work will focus on transforming raw scientific data into structured, actionable assets that accelerate innovation across drug discovery, preclinical development, and product quality workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement AI-native data architectures tailored to scientific research needs
- Partner with scientists, engineers, and product teams to identify data challenges and develop high-impact solutions
- Conduct in-depth exploratory data analysis to uncover novel patterns and enable new research capabilities
- Prototype and demonstrate cloud-based AI/ML applications that solve real scientific problems
- Communicate technical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Provide expert guidance to research teams to enhance data quality, reproducibility, and insight generation
- Develop reusable, productized data models and workflows that scale across use cases
Qualifications
- PhD with at least 4 years or Master’s with 8+ years of hands-on experience in life sciences or related fields
- Deep understanding of drug discovery pipelines, preclinical development, CMC processes, or quality testing across modalities
- Proven success in delivering AI/ML-driven data solutions in cloud environments
- Experience building extensible data systems for scientific end users
- Strong track record in optimizing scientific workflows through data modeling and integration
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse stakeholders
- History of advising scientific teams to improve research outcomes
