Shape the security foundation of a next-generation AI and blockchain platform operating across Africa. As a Security Architect, you'll define and drive the end-to-end security strategy, ensuring resilience across cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and AI workloads. Your expertise will directly influence how we protect data, manage identities, and secure operations at scale.
What You'll Do
- Design and deploy security architectures for blockchain platforms, AI/ML systems, Kubernetes clusters, and cloud environments on AWS.
- Develop and maintain a forward-looking security roadmap aligned with business goals and compliance standards.
- Implement Zero Trust frameworks, including identity and access management, secrets management, and secure connectivity solutions.
- Define and enforce security boundaries through workload isolation, network segmentation, and least-privilege access controls.
- Lead the development of incident response procedures, monitoring dashboards, and alerting systems tailored to blockchain and AI operations.
- Conduct threat modeling, penetration testing, and security reviews to proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Work closely with blockchain developers, AI engineers, and DevOps teams to integrate security into every phase of the development lifecycle.
- Stay ahead of evolving threats and advancements in cryptography, distributed systems, and cloud-native security.
What We're Looking For
- At least 10 years in information security, with 5 years focused on security architecture.
- Proven experience securing cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including IAM, logging, and monitoring.
- Deep knowledge of blockchain security, including consensus mechanisms, node protection, and cryptographic key management.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes security—pod policies, network controls, admission controllers, and container hardening.
- Experience securing CI/CD pipelines and software supply chains using scanning, signing, and integrity checks.
- Familiarity with AI/ML security, including model protection, data privacy, and GPU workload isolation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Rust for automating security controls.
- Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CKA/CKS, or cloud-specific security credentials.
