Softchoice is hiring a Security Customer Solution Architect

About the Role

Shape the future of government cybersecurity by leading the design and implementation of secure, scalable solutions for Canadian federal agencies. In this role, you will partner with technical and sales teams to assess client needs, develop security roadmaps, and deliver integrated platforms that align with compliance, risk management, and operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with account teams to uncover client challenges, define success metrics, and build business cases that demonstrate measurable security outcomes
  • Lead cross-functional efforts with specialists in cloud, data, AI, and networking to deliver end-to-end security architectures
  • Engage stakeholders at all levels to strengthen understanding of cybersecurity priorities and guide adoption of best practices
  • Design and present technical solutions through workshops, demonstrations, and whiteboarding sessions that highlight both technical and business value
  • Coordinate with OEM partners such as Microsoft, Cisco, and Palo Alto Networks to secure funding, deliver joint initiatives, and run proof-of-value programs
  • Manage the full lifecycle of evaluation projects, from scoping and deployment to executive-level reporting
  • Contribute to the development of Statements of Work and responses to RFPs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving threats, technologies, and frameworks, including zero trust architectures
  • Represent the organization at industry events, webinars, and executive briefings to build credibility and market presence
  • Ensure Salesforce records are accurate and reflect ongoing opportunity progress

Qualifications

Candidates must bring at least 10 years of experience delivering cybersecurity solutions, with a minimum of 7 years focused on serving the Canadian federal government. You should have deep expertise in designing and implementing security architectures across cloud, network, identity, and endpoint domains.

Required capabilities include translating executive objectives into actionable security strategies, strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences, and proven collaboration with internal teams and technology partners. Hands-on experience with platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Entra ID, Cisco security suites, and Palo Alto Networks is essential.

Applicants must hold, or be eligible to obtain, a Secret Level II federal security clearance. Bilingualism (English/French) and residency in Ottawa are strong assets.

Work Environment

This role operates in a hybrid model, combining remote work with on-site engagements at client and partner locations in the Ottawa region. Occasional travel, including to the United States, and flexibility for evening or weekend work may be required.

Benefits & Culture

Enjoy comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance, retirement savings with company match, generous leave policies, and employee discounts. The organization fosters a collaborative, inclusive environment recognized as an award-winning workplace for over two decades. Flexibility, innovation, and belonging are central to how teams operate.

Equal opportunity is a core principle—employment decisions are made without regard to race, religion, gender identity, disability, veteran status, or any other protected category.
