About the Role

Role Overview

As a Senior Actuarial Analyst in Product & Pricing, you will lead critical pricing evaluations and deliver actuarial insights that shape product design and financial performance. You will apply advanced methodologies to determine appropriate premium structures and policy values, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed pricing and policy value analyses using actuarial principles and statistical models
  • Prepare and validate actuarial memoranda, certifications, and supporting documentation for state regulatory submissions
  • Collaborate with regulators through responsive correspondence and technical clarification
  • Extract, process, and analyze historical experience data using SQL, SAS, Python, or R
  • Develop and justify premium recommendations based on financial targets and risk assessment
  • Perform in-depth experience studies, including mortality and lapse rate evaluations
  • Design and support implementation of new insurance products and plan structures up to moderate complexity
  • Enhance forecasting accuracy and contribute to financial planning cycles
  • Automate repetitive tasks to increase analytical efficiency and reduce processing time
  • Mentor junior analysts and support team development through knowledge sharing
  • Stay current with actuarial standards through continuing education and progress toward SOA accreditation
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or a related quantitative field. A minimum of five years of actuarial experience is required, with preference given to those with life insurance or financial services background. Completion of at least four actuarial exams is expected.

Proficiency in Excel and VBA is essential, along with demonstrated ability in SQL, SAS, Python, or R. Familiarity with actuarial modeling platforms such as GGY-AXIS, MG-ALFA, or PolySystems is preferred.

Work Environment

This position operates remotely within the United States, with flexibility to work from any U.S.-based location. Occasional travel may be necessary based on business needs. The role supports a culture of inclusion, professional growth, and balanced work-life integration.

Compensation

Annual salary range: $79,500 to $132,900. No equity or additional compensation components are included.
