Lead actuarial initiatives for pension and post-retirement medical plans, overseeing both technical analysis and team development. In this role, you will manage a group of actuaries, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of complex valuation work for single-employer and multiemployer plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor junior actuarial staff, fostering skill development and technical excellence

Qualifications
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, or a related business field, and have a minimum of 10 years of actuarial experience focused on pension plans. Professional credentials such as FSA, ASA, or EA are required. Experience with small plans or cash balance designs is advantageous. Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries is preferred.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model, with flexibility for remote work and expected in-office presence in either San Jose, CA or Seattle, WA. Approximately 20% travel may be required.
