Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services and frontend features.
- Design and implement APIs, integrations, and business workflows.
- Work with asynchronous processing, queues, retries, and scheduled tasks.
- Design reliable solutions across multiple services and databases.
- Use AI tools to navigate complex codebases, accelerate development, and improve engineering workflows.
- Own features end-to-end: analysis, implementation, testing, code review, and deployment.
- Collaborate with the team on architecture decisions and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) as part of your daily development workflow.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals: architecture, API design, data modeling, asynchronous processing (queues, retries, idempotency), testing and debugging.
- Professional experience with at least one modern backend ecosystem such as Python, Node.js, Go, Java, .NET, PHP, or similar.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and become productive in unfamiliar codebases.
- Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong Docker and Docker Compose skills.
- Experience with Git, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to evaluate AI-generated code, validate solutions, and take ownership of technical decisions.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience with PHP/Laravel or Vue.js.
- Experience with event-driven or microservices architecture.
- Experience with ClickHouse or data pipelines.
- Experience building shared libraries or reusable packages.
- Experience with Cypress, Postman, AWS, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience creating AI development workflows, custom agent tools, or automation.
- Experience working in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries.
Additional Information
- Time zone requirements: Availability is required at least during 09:00 – 14:00 US Eastern Time. The remaining working hours are flexible and can be arranged earlier or later in the day. A split schedule (e.g., a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening) is also possible and may work well.
